In collaboration with a friend for their senior project, we discussed creating a graphical representation of community. We also wanted the graphic to have a general wide appeal in the form of apparel, so we made t-shirts. The hand which represents action is made out of a collage of keys. Each key represents an individual and their ability to help solve the question/problem represented by the keyhole. Each key is different in style, size, and form to communicate the uniqueness of each individual.

We used illustrator to create the vector keys and modeled the keys around our friend's hand. We hand screen-printed the shirts with a gold ink and heat-treated the shirts with blow dryers, iron, and heat guns; basically anything that could produce heat. We ended pulling a run of 50 shirts on a jerry-rigged press to give to the class.
